Known issues during installation or upgrading a MS Teams app
The MS Teams app platform is a complex and no problem-free experience . Most of what we see is a delayed response to changes of custom apps and app policies. This means, after you apply changes, it could take up to 24 hours to become active. Especially you will find these delays on:
-
New MS Teams app permissions to be activated by the consent. Even if they are already shown in the Azure Enterprise app. Sometime it will help to do a re-consent.
-
Deleting, adding or updating MS Teams custom apps, like PortalTalk, could take time to become active. Typical; 1 to 24 hours.
-
Changed app policies like the MS Teams Admin center ‘Permission’ or ‘Setup policies’ policies could also take up to 24 hours to become active.
The best way to handle these issues is……just wait and try if the change is active after some time.
These problems are not specific PortalTalk MS Teams app related. You will see this behaviour by all custom apps installations or updates. The PortalTalk team constantly tries to solve these problems, but the same as you, we are bind to the progress Microsoft is making in this.
